1. Scope of this policy
This policy describes how a direct booking with Medano4you is made: selecting the property, the price, the booking process, payments and confirmation.
It applies to short-term holiday stays. Seasonal stays of one to eleven months are formalised through a specific contract and are governed by section 26 of the Terms and Conditions.
It is complemented by the Terms and Conditions, the Cancellation Policy, the Check-in and Check-out Policy and the Privacy Policy, which form part of the same agreement.
In the event of any contradiction, the particular condition expressly accepted for a specific booking prevails, then this policy, and lastly the Terms and Conditions.
2. Choosing the holiday property
To check availability, the guest must select the arrival and departure dates and state the total number of people who will be staying at the property.
The system will show the available properties matching the criteria entered.
Each listing contains information on the characteristics, capacity, photographs, approximate location, facilities, availability, price and tourist registration number of the property.
The total price of the booking may depend on the number of guests, the dates and length of the stay, seasonal pricing and demand, applicable discounts or promotions, the cleaning fee, and supplements for pets, additional guests or other services.
Before confirming the booking, the guest must carefully review the characteristics, rules and specific conditions of the property.
3. Pets
Pets are only allowed at properties that expressly state that they accept them.
The guest must state the number and type of pets before confirming the booking.
A supplement per pet and stay may apply.
4. Booking process
Once the property has been selected, the guest must choose the dates, correctly state the number of guests, complete their personal and contact details, review the total price and the applicable conditions, accept the Terms and Conditions and the booking and cancellation conditions, and make the initial payment requested.
The guest may use the comments field to communicate special requests, such as the need for a cot, a high chair, a late arrival or any other relevant requirement.
Special requests are subject to availability and will not be considered confirmed until expressly accepted by Medano4you.
5. Minimum age
The minimum age to make a booking is 18.
The booking holder must be of legal age and will be responsible for the behaviour of everyone included in the booking.
Medano4you may cancel the booking if it finds that it was made by a person who does not meet the age requirement.
6. Children, cots and high chairs
Children of all ages are welcome, unless the characteristics or specific rules of a property state otherwise.
Children under 3 stay free of charge when they do not occupy an additional paid place. Guests aged 3 or over must be included in the total number of people on the booking.
Regardless of the above, everyone staying overnight at the property, including children, must be declared on the booking and complete the guest registration set out in section 14.
Cots and high chairs may be requested in advance. Their availability and, where applicable, their cost will be confirmed before arrival. They cannot be guaranteed until Medano4you expressly confirms them.
7. Booking price
The total price shown during the booking process will include the items indicated before payment is made.
The cleaning fee may be shown as an item separate from the nightly rate.
Supplements may apply for additional guests, pets, late arrivals, extraordinary services or other conditions specific to the property.
The guest must review the final amount before completing payment.
8. Initial payment and confirmation
Confirming a direct booking generally requires an initial payment of 30 % of the total amount of the stay, unless another condition is expressly stated.
The booking will not be confirmed until the payment has been correctly received and Medano4you has sent the corresponding confirmation email.
If the guest cancels, the initial payment is non-refundable, on the terms set out in the Cancellation Policy. Where the cancellation is due to a cause attributable to Medano4you or to the impossibility of providing the property, the initial payment will be refunded in accordance with that same policy.
9. Outstanding balance
The remaining amount, including applicable taxes and any additional services contracted, is paid before arrival and not at the property, in accordance with the following schedule.
If the booking is made more than 30 days in advance, the guest will receive a secure payment link 30 days before the arrival date and will have 15 days to pay it.
If the booking is made between 30 and 15 days before arrival, they will receive the link within 24 hours of the booking confirmation, and the amount must be paid no later than 15 days before the arrival date.
If the booking is made less than 15 days in advance, they will receive the link within 24 hours of confirmation and must pay it within the following 48 hours, always before the arrival date.
The specific deadline applicable to each booking is stated in the confirmation email.
If the guest does not pay within the period established and there is no different written agreement, Medano4you may cancel the booking for breach. In that case the initial payment already made will be retained, and no further amount will be payable, in accordance with section 8 of the Cancellation Policy.
10. Payment methods
Payments may be made by credit or debit card, or using other methods expressly authorised by Medano4you.
Card payments are processed through external providers and banking institutions. Medano4you does not have access to the full card number.
Medano4you does not accept cheques.
11. Security deposit
Some properties may require a security deposit.
The existence and amount of the deposit will be stated in the property information or in the booking confirmation, before arrival.
The deposit may be taken by payment, transfer, secure link or bank pre-authorisation, according to the conditions notified.
Its return and any deductions that may be made are governed by section 9 of the Terms and Conditions.
12. Confirmation by email
Once the initial payment has been received, Medano4you will send a confirmation email with the main details of the booking.
The confirmation may include the name and contact details of the booking holder, the arrival and departure dates, the number of guests, the property booked, the amount paid and the outstanding balance with its payment deadline, the applicable particular conditions including the cancellation conditions and retention bands, the information needed to complete online registration, and the instructions for arranging check-in.
If the guest does not receive the confirmation within 24 hours of payment, they must contact customerservice@medano4you.com.
13. Checking the details and errors
The guest must review the details of the confirmation as soon as they receive it.
Any error must be reported to Medano4you as soon as possible.
Changes of dates requested after confirmation are governed by section 6 of the Cancellation Policy: only one change may be requested, and at least 30 days before the original arrival date. All other changes are subject to availability and to possible price differences.
14. Online guest registration
Spanish traveller registration legislation, set out in Royal Decree 933/2021, requires Medano4you to register and report the details of every person staying at the property to the competent authorities.
Online registration must be completed before arrival for every person included in the booking.
Guests aged 14 or over must provide the details of a valid, current identity document and sign their own registration form in person.
For children under 14, the details must be provided by the accompanying adult and must include, as a minimum, full name, date of birth, nationality and the family relationship to that adult.
Registration is mandatory. The data is reported to the competent authorities on the terms set out in the Privacy Policy. If registration is incomplete, the keys cannot be handed over.
15. Check-in and check-out times
Check-in takes place from 15:00. Access to the property before that time cannot be guaranteed.
Arrivals from 19:00 onwards are subject to a late check-in supplement of € 35, taxes included.
Check-out must take place by 10:00 or by 11:00, depending on the property booked. The applicable time is stated in the booking information.

16. Special requests
Requests for early check-in, late check-out, cots, high chairs, additional beds, cleaning services or any other service are subject to availability.
Medano4you will endeavour to meet them, but cannot guarantee them until they are expressly confirmed.
Some services may carry an additional cost, which will be notified before they are confirmed.
17. Cancellations and changes of dates
The cancellation and date-change conditions applicable to each booking are those shown to and accepted by the guest at the time of booking, and reproduced in the confirmation email.
The general framework applicable to direct bookings is set out in the Cancellation Policy, which governs the retention bands, changes of dates and refund periods.
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to customerservice@medano4you.com.
18. Bookings through external platforms
Bookings made through Airbnb, Booking.com or other platforms are governed by the booking, payment and cancellation conditions published on that platform.
Any request for cancellation, modification or refund must be handled through the same platform on which the booking was made.
Medano4you cannot unilaterally modify the conditions or procedures established by those platforms.
All other conditions regarding check-in, check-out, guest registration and use of the property set out in our policies apply in every case.
19. Data protection
The processing of personal data provided during the booking process is described in the Privacy Policy, available at medano4you.com/politica-de-privacidad.
